Community Commitment Collaboration

Elaine has been honored to serve as a Village Trustee since 2021. A resident for 28 years (“S” section) and an active volunteer, Elaine loves Greendale’s small-town charm, green spaces, and historical attributes. Elaine will continue to ensure that Greendale remains a welcoming community for young families, empty nesters, retirees, and businesses to thrive in.


Elaine does her due diligence to get the facts before making decisions. Elaine is not afraid to ask tough questions and has been described as a “straight shooter.” Elaine’s experience and commitment will keep the Village on the right path. Elaine is an advocate for residents who need a voice in Village Hall and has had perfect Village Board meeting attendance since 2021.


Elaine collaborates with the other Village Board members, the Village staff, the Greendale School District, and community leaders to make certain that Greendale remains a destination place to live in the Milwaukee area. Elaine will continue to work to control taxes while maintaining high-quality services.

  • Hired new Village Manager, Mike Hawes
  • Unprecedented road, street lighting, and pedestrian safety improvements
  • Maintained high-quality services while controlling taxes increases
  • Continued headway in Southridge redevelopment
  • Supported a Property Maintenance/Code Enforcement Program (grant funded)
  • Approved a Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan in collaboration with Greendale School District
  • Fire Department training facility is under construction (donation funded)
  • Approved a Public Health Navigator/Case Manager position (grant funded)
  • 2022 Community Survey
  • Approved a Ten-Year Roads and Infrastructure Plan and a Ten-Year Financial Management Plan
  • Advocated for Village website improvements
  • Initiated and drafted the New Resident Guide
  • Helped edit the Village’s 85th Anniversary Booklet
  • Perfect Village Board meeting attendance
  • Initiated improved public hearing notice requirements for wireless telecommunication facilities
  • Advocated for publication of complete Village Board agendas for increased transparency
  • Appointed as the local government sector representative of Community Alliance of Hales Corners & Greendale (reducing substance misuse)
  • Helped initiate new vaping regulations to protect youth
  • Harm reduction vending machine at Safety Center
  • Voted against the Badger Book electronic poll book system for elections
  • Voted against the exorbitant $73,000 expenditure for Village Board room A/V improvements
  • Supported a new marketing program for 2024
  • Spoke up for residents affected by noise from The Rock
  • Presented seven Eagle Scout Proclamations

Scouting for Food!

Elaine has been a long-time supporter of Greendale Boy Scout Troop 506 and continues to volunteer. Her husband John and son Alex are both Eagle Scouts!

Greendale Police Department Citizens Academy Graduate

In fall of 2023, Elaine participated in the Citizens Academy at the Greendale Police Department and during her first term went on two patrol ride-alongs.

Eagle Scout Award Presenter

Elaine enjoys attending Eagle Courts of Honor and presenting Village of Greendale proclamations to our community’s proud Eagle Scouts.

GEA Children’s Resale

The Greendale Entertainment Association’s popular Children’s Resale fundraiser takes place twice a year and Elaine can be found working the “toy cage.”

Veterans Day Program

Elaine comes from a military family and is proud to be a volunteer and presenter at the annual Veterans Day Program hosted by the Greendale Public Library.

Elaine has been a library lover since grade school and in 2018 was appointed to serve on the Greendale Library Board. She also volunteers in the Library during the annual Dickens of a Village event.

Village’s 85th Anniversary

Greendale’s 85th Celebration took place in 2023 and Elaine was one of many volunteers who hand delivered a commemorative booklet to the residents.

Community Alliance at School’s Out

Elaine and members of Community Alliance of Hales Corners & Greendale (reducing substance misuse) engaging with parents and sharing vaping education materials and safe medication disposal kits.

Memorial Day

Elaine and her husband John walk in the annual Memorial Day Parade from Village Hall to the Veterans Memorial.

It is an honor and privilege serving the residents of Greendale, Wisconsin. I decided to run for a second term to continue Working Hard For All of Us! I am proud of what has been accomplished during my first term, but there is always more work to do! This is why I need your help!
